First Writing Workshop

Hemingway 6 Word Stories
For our first workshop, the writing team created short 6-word stories led by Mr. Beyreis and Grace Kennedy.
A Hemingway 6-word story exercise is
a writing activity that challenges participants to tell a complete story using precisely six words, inspired by the legendary six-word story attributed to Ernest Hemingway: "For sale: baby shoes, never worn".
1.) Grandma shrieked, The British are coming.
2.) Grandpa pulled out of window U-Haul.
3.) Dad left early from peace corps.
4.) Dad is bodyguard for illegal casino.
5.) Mom's secret pet, hidden from sight.
6.) A baby and a deep sleeper.
7.) My dog chose her own name.
8.) Gerbil gone, heartbroken, Merry Christmas!
9.) Sat in a puddle. Now new name.
10.) Gets lost on school trip: boat.
11.) First time being lost, kinda nervous.
12.) She vanished, found giggling up high.
13.) Last bus: ten time: ten thirty
14.) Independent voyage: across ocean, corset money.
15.) Lipstick curses on windshiled and tank.
